The AdventureSmart Teams currently travel throughout British Columbia in the AdventureSmart vehicles to sporting events, community events, ski resorts, schools and summer camps and spread the message to - 'Get Informed and Go Outdoors'!

Sandra Ferguson - AdventureSmart Teams Coordinator

Sandra is looking forward to another busy, fun filled season with AdventureSmart. She will continue to work closely with the Provincial Emergency Program, BC Search & Rescue Association and the National Search & Rescue Secretariat.  She will coordinate the AdventureSmart programs for the province of British Columbia while assisting with national coordination & monitoring for all Provinces and Territories. Sandra took the Outdoor Recreation Management program at Capilano University in North Vancouver and started her career in this field with BC Parks in 1992. She gained a wealth of experience, both in the field and administrative, with BC Parks over 10 years and loved every minute of it. Sandra has always enjoyed educating the public, making it one of the highlights of her career. Her passion for the outdoors, experience and enthusiasm for helping others is what keeps her in the industry.

Erica Dolsen - AdventureSmart Team Member

Erica has been working in the field of outdoor recreation and adventure for the past 8 years, after graduating from Capilano University with a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation Management. She enjoys skiing, surfing, backpacking, bike touring, and trail running.

She enjoys facilitating life experiences for a wide range of participants. To that end, her working and travelling adventures have taken her biking to the Everest Base Camp and the peaks of the Himalayas to paddling in Haida Gwaii and caving on Vancouver Island, and many points in between. Her presentations are engaging and memorable, and will leave the audience inspired to “get informed, and go outdoors!”.
